Exploring Macedonian Flavours: Macedonian Cuisine Classes at Our Cultural Centre

April 22, 2024

Hey everyone,

Exciting news for all food enthusiasts and culture lovers in Newcastle!

We are thrilled to announce the launch of Macedonian Cuisine Classes at our Macedonian Cultural Centre. These sessions, set to take place on Saturday mornings with a monthly frequency, offer a fantastic opportunity for both the young and young-at-heart to dive into the rich tapestry of Macedonian culinary traditions.

Macedonian cuisine, with its diverse flavours and ingredients, is a testament to the country’s rich history and geographical diversity. From the savoury delight of tavče gravče to the sweet indulgence of baklava, our cuisine has something to please every palate.

Starting from June 2024, these classes will be held on the first Saturday of the month from 9:00am to 12pm, providing a perfect weekend activity that promises not only learning but also a lot of fun. Each class will focus on different traditional dishes, ensuring a varied and enriching experience over time.

We’re calling for expressions of interest from all who wish to participate or even volunteer in teaching. Whether you’re a seasoned chef or a culinary novice, there’s a spot for everyone to learn, share, and enjoy. It’s not only a chance to hone your cooking skills but also a wonderful way to meet other community members who share a passion for food and culture.

The classes will be conducted at our Macedonian Cultural Centre, 14 School Street, Broadmeadow. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy their creations at the end of each session, making every class a delightful culinary adventure.

If you’re interested in participating or need more information, please don’t hesitate to contact us at through our social media platforms. We’re excited to see enthusiastic faces, ready to stir, season, and sizzle!

Let’s keep our traditions alive and make some delicious memories together. We can’t wait to cook up a storm with you all!
